Samir Shaikh works at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and serves as the Deputy Director for the Patient Affairs Staff (PAS) in the Office of the Commissioner. PAS leads and enhances patient engagement activities across the medical product Centers—facilitating dialogue and collaboration between patients, their advocates, and the FDA to incorporate patient perspective into regulatory decision making.?Prior to the FDA, Samir worked in pharma and academia conducting clinical research in Epilepsy as well as Alzheimer’s and Vaccines. Samir received his Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Chicago and M.B.A from Johns Hopkins University.
