Dr. Samantha Maragh Leads the Genome Editing Program at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Included in this program is the newly launched NIST Genome Editing Consortium, a public-private partnership to bring together government, industry and academia to address shared pre-competitive technical measurement and standards challenges within the genome editing community. Samantha also participates as U.S. technical expert to the ISO Technical Committee on Biotechnology (ISO TC 276) supporting standards relating to nucleic acids measurements. Samantha received her M.S. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, and her Ph.D. in Human Genetics & Molecular Biology from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
