Dr. Peterson has extensive experience with the application of actigraphy and physiological measurements in pharmaceutical clinical trials. After 20 years of academic research on acute lung injury and respiratory measurement techniques, he joined Pfizer's Clinical Technology group to develop and validate technologies for clinical trials. Eleven years later he joined Phillips Respironics to develop actigraphy analysis algorithms and promote the use of wearable devices in clinical trials. He also joined the Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative (CTTI) and helped write the recommendations to the FDA on the use of wearable devices in clinical trials (2018). He is now an independent consultant and CTTI member.
